ABOUT MAXIM

Hi, I'm Maxim Atanassov.

I believe my purpose is to be first a good human, a dad and a husband, then be a changemaker for changemakers and drive positive social impact.

My life has been shaped by good advice and hard work. I have always believed that "Luck comes to the prepared". You have to put yourself in the arena, and not being afraid of being knocked down. What's important is that every time you get knocked down, you get up. "Failure is the path to trailblazing and discovery!"

Successful businesses are built by people with grit and perseverance. Being an entrepreneur is not for everyone. The lows are really low and the highs are really high. 

I love business. I love building companies. I co-founded my first company in my 3rd year of university. I have failed and I have succeeded. And it is that collection of lived experiences that helps me navigate the scale-up journey.

I have found 6 companies to date that are scaling rapidly. These companies are lead by incredible teams. I also run a Venture Studio, a Business Transformation Consultancy and a Family Office.

I love giving back. I mentor start-ups with Thrive by SVG Ventures and serve on the Board for a number of private companies

Prior to jumping in, with both feet, in the world of entrepreneurship, I was the Chief Audit Executive for a 33 billion dollar energy company and even prior to that I spent 13 years with Deloitte and EY advising companies on strategy and risk management.
